Who we are
Northride AS, a licensed tour company in Tromsø, Norway, is responsible for this website. For any privacy question, write to booking@northride.no.
What this website does not do
There are no user accounts, no contact forms and no newsletter sign-ups on this site. We do not collect or store your name, email or phone number through the website itself.
When you contact or book with us
- WhatsApp and email. If you message us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, dates, group size and hotel. We use it to answer you and to plan and carry out your tour. WhatsApp is a service of Meta and handles your messages under its own privacy policy.
- Book online. The "Book online" buttons open our booking system, run by Bookspot. Your booking and payment details are entered there, not on this website, and are handled under Bookspot's privacy policy.
Cookies and Google Ads
We advertise on Google. To see which adverts lead to enquiries, this site loads a Google Ads tag that can record when a visitor arrives from an advert and later clicks a WhatsApp, email or "Book online" button.
- If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google advertising cookies are switched off until you press "Accept" in the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode to enforce this.
- If you accept, Google may set advertising cookies and use identifiers to measure conversions and to personalise adverts.
- If you decline, no advertising cookies are set. Google may still receive basic cookieless signals, for example that a page was viewed or a button was clicked, without identifiers tied to you.
- Your choice is remembered for 12 months in your browser's local storage under the name
nr-consent. It contains only "granted" or "denied" and a date.

Other services this site loads
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and basic request data in server logs to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
- Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when it fetches them.
- Blog. Articles on our blog page are loaded from our publishing provider, Soro.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to booking@northride.no. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
